Okta is known as the world's #1 leading identity company. When I joined in April 2025, the company was going through many changes.
I led and executed page redesigns, new user journeys, and design systems to successfully migrate from Drupal to AEM, implement a GTM pivot to own both workforce and now customer identity solutions, and establish our position on securing AI and non-human identities.
Oktave Design System
Oktave is Okta's web design system (DS) for our three websites: customer (cx / okta.com), developer (dx / auth0.com), and events (ex / oktane.com).
When I first joined, Oktave had a lot of design and tech debt due to these three brands' DS scaling separately.
I played a key role during my time as an interim DS Designer Lead to execute our new DS strategy: to build a robust foundational atomic system that supports our multi-brand company with an expression layer to our DS.
