Standardizing Docker's product onboarding.
Context
Docker Scout was launched in 2023 as Docker's Software Supply Chain product along with other new products. Docker was in need of better onboarding engagements to help users better understand our product value.
Scout's onboarding revamp spearheaded a new onboarding standard for Docker products.
Problem
Users & enterprises were unaware of the full potential Docker had to offer. In the pursuit of staying relevant & innovative, Docker launched new products which influenced pricing. However, consumers were confused at the value Docker's Suite of Development Tools offered to justify all these changes.

For people to see value in anything, they need to understand how it benefits them.

The legacy onboarding flows used icons which wasn't enough for users to digest complex software engineering concepts to understand product features & benefits.
Docker Scout was the first to test our improved onboarding theory by implementing product UI into the flow.
Ideate
I helped convey Scout's core benefits with the lead product designer and iterated based on feedback for accurate information & concept effectiveness.
Prototype, Test, and Maintain
The new onboarding was handed off and implemented. Tests showed a successful engagement rate of 75% meaningful interactions with the new onboarding. This confirmed the decision to implement the new onboarding direction to the rest of Docker's Suite of Development Tools.
